In lovely condition, this rare type of bayonet for the Swiss Vetterli rifle is featured in THE BAYONET BOOK by Watts & White on page Page 269, item 600, in the SWISS SECTION. The bayonet features a straight spearpoint sawback blade of almost 19", with a steel cross guard marked with serial number 215905. Overall length is 23 1 2 inches, and the blade has an interesting main edge that is only ground from one side of
